Every Woman Has a Story...

My father left when I was 3 years old. Okay, he and my mother divorced and she wanted him out. But, explain that to a little child. All I knew was that one day he was living with us and the next day he was gone. Of course, I saw him. But the absence in the home was baffling. I'm a tough girl and I have weathered many storms. I know how I became that way. You learn at a very young age, when your father leaves your home, that the world is not a stable place. As I became older, I saw all men as I saw my father. You never know when they're going to leave you. So, as a young woman, I chose to end every one of my relationships...even when they were good...just so the guy wouldn't leave me first! Who needed a repeat performance of that childhood experience? It took me years to figure this all out (and several degrees, too!) but I did. And I want to share my advice and thoughts with you. But, lets hear your story. First, I'd love to have you participate in my survey. It will not take you more then 3 minutes...unless you really start thinking about your childhood. Fill out the survey and come back to me to tell me about your childhood memories of your father! Are you repeating patterns, too? Food for thought...
